ABOUT

My name is Collin and I'm addicted to creating things. Call it a god complex or a lonely childhood, but I love telling stories, making things with my own two hands, and the only thing I can see myself doing in my professional life is some version of creative storytelling that brings people together.

I was born in Illinois but moved around a lot. We settled in West Palm Beach, FL and eventually, I graduated from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts with a degree in Film production and Animation/ Digital Arts. Ever since, I've done whatever it takes to survive. Ok that's a little dramatic, but I was a theatre kid so it's to be expected.

I moved to Atlanta and did production assistant work for Commercials TV and Film. I took up freelance editing, graphic design, and illustration. I even worked at one of those escape room places for a little while. Not a fan. I was honored to attend San Diego Comic Con International and win Best Humor Film at their film festival and I felt like King of the World. Then, work slowed, my father became ill, and I made the difficult decision to step away from my career to support my family. I moved back to Flat Town USA, got a job at Costco, and sank into a bit of a depression.

I'm not trying to sell a sob story here. My life has been hard sometimes but who's hasn't? What I'm trying to say with all of this is that even with the ups and downs, I am still here compelled to be creative. I've been in a personal hell for the past five years (and South Florida is hot enough to earn that title) but my creative spirit still hasn't been crushed. If anything it's been amplified. It is time for my life to change once again.
